Kyiv Medical University, formerly known as UAFM, is a Ukrainian higher learning institute. They were established in 1992 located in the capital of Ukraine, “Kyiv," the 8th largest city in Europe. The university has trained more than 10,000 health personnel—primarily general practitioners, dentists, and pharmacists. As per the data of August 2014, nearly 1000 international students were studying at KMU.

The ministry approves Kyiv Medical University of education and science of Ukraine. It has got the license of the ministry of education and science of Ukraine for promoting education for lv level of accreditation.

Being a university with the highest level of recognition by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, all degrees issued to international students are legalized and apostilled by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine.

KMU is additionally recognized and listed in the global directories of medical universities named IMED – the International Medical Education Directory. This simply means graduates are eligible to write the United States Medical Licensing Examinations. It means the Education Commission recognizes certificates for the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) and Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in the US for eligibility of graduates to get certification and Licensure hence they can pursue residency and postgraduate programs in these listed countries.

Furthermore, the university is registered in the AVICENNA Directory, maintained by the University of Copenhagen in partner with the WHO and WFME. This simply means the WHO and all governments thoroughly recognize KMU.

Furthermore, Kyiv Medical University (KMU) is recognized by the Nigerian Dental and Medical Council, European Council of Medicine, Pakistan Medical, Ghana Dental and Medical Council, Dental Council, Indian Medical Council, and General Medical Council of UK.
